Edinburgh - How to sell successfully through online marketplaces

Do you have an amazing product but the sales aren't as high as you'd like?  Come and spend an inspiring day on Friday 13th October in Edinburgh with myself and fellow partners getting to grips with online marketplaces such as Etsy and Notonthehighstreet.com to learn how to successfully achieve sales through these exciting retail channels.  Having an incredible product is only the start of your retail journey, the work that goes on in the background will ensure that your product achieves the sales it deserves and with over 10 year’s experience of growing The Gluttonous Gardener into an award winning Gift Company I'll share my successes and many failures with you. With Christmas just a few months away it is never too late to maximise your chances of extra sales and we'll take time to look at ways of achieving this which you can then use on other gift giving occasions going forward.

  • Work with and design better for online marketplaces, understand their Why.
  • Understand the customer and how this should impact on your decision making
  • Know how to analyse your marketplace.
  • Improve your chances of getting found within the search results through understanding the importance of writing and producing a killer product page for the customer and SEO.
  • Motivated with improved focus.
  • Importantly make some new friends who will hopefully go on to support and inspire you.

The day will encompass the following:

  • Know your customer, know your marketplace
  • Analysis and getting found.
  • Copywriting, SEO  and designing for online marketplaces (such as NOTH and Etsy)
  • Tips and tricks
  • Additional Christmas module - we will look at what it takes to be successful at this crucial time of year to both maximise sales and ensure happy customers.

For me the location of my workshops is as important as the content of the day, when you are taking a precious day out of the office to re-focus then it is so important that the environment you’re learning in is as inspiring.  For Edinburgh, I have chosen the most fantastic apartment right in the heart of the city.  You can find full travel and accommodation details here.

This full day workshop will cost £175 and will include teas, coffee and a delicious communal lunch and is limited to just 8 places to ensure everyone receives my attention on the day.  The workshop would suit companies which are either at the beginning of their selling journey or those which have been selling for a few years but have not seen significant sales.  Please note if I feel that you are already too successful to benefit from this workshop I will contact you directly and either offer a full refund or suggest an alternative more advanced course you could take as it is important to me that everyone booking on to this course will benefit from the content.

The course will take an entire day on Friday 13th October with a start time 10am - 5pm (arrival from 9:45am in order for us to start on time), there will be breaks throughout the day in case you need to check back in with the office and make sure all is ok and the venue offers super speedy broadband.

House Rules

I have a no phone policy whilst training is taking place, I know only too well how hard it is to turn your phone off but when training I feel it's important in order to focus and don't worry there will be plenty of opportunities to check in with the office throughout the day.
